BACKGROUND:
EMTEQUE was
retained by 48 Wall Street LLC to perform a confirmatory asbestos survey
for this 35-story commercial high-rise property that was formerly owned
by the Bank of New York. Once this had been completed, EMTEQUE was then
assigned the task of preparing competitive bid specifications and drawings
for the planned asbestos abatement. Renovations and new construction started
in March of 1999, with an estimated project budget of over $3MM for the
asbestos abatement, demolition and environmental consulting components
of the project.
