BACKGROUND:
In conjunction
with a major interior renovation and building construction project at
the West 63 rd Street YMCA, EMTEQUE performed comprehensive environmental,
health and safety services during a three - year project period. Initially,
EMTEQUE was tasked with performing a Phase I ESA and a comprehensive asbestos
and lead survey. Subsequent work at this site included two years of carbon
monoxide, noise, airborne dust and respirable silica monitoring at the
YMCA during the construction of an adjacent building. In addition to providing
air monitoring services during the abatement of lead- based paint. During
the asbestos and lead removal stages of the project, EMTEQUE also performed
OSHA compliance monitoring.
